This is the first official presentation of my project Shires at War [SaW].
Shires at War [SaW] is an Aeon of Strife.
This map is supported by the Aeon Alliance and developed by the artists & mapping section of the Clan AuKn @ Northrend in friendly cooperation with some Clan NgO @ Northrend members.
The map is about the specious endless war between the Aurora Shire and the Twilight Shire.
Each shire dominates a half of the region and tries to conquer the whole area.
Unfortunately, the shires are well-matched and haven´t a chance to overtrump the opposite shire without external support.
That´s why the rulers of both shires decided to hire the most famous mercenaries, a group of heroes on their avenue to power.
Each player chooses one of the unique heroes of his team and controls the choosen one the whole game.
The task is to support the allied troops and heroes against the opposite shire and their heroes until the allied shire rules over the map and killed the enemied commander as well as their main building.
The map is divided into two parts, the region of the Aurora Shire and the region of the Twilight Shire. The mainbase of each shire is located at the north-west corner (Aurora Shire) and the south-east corner (Twilight Shire).
There are four mainly used paths connecting the bases. Allied troops periodically start attacks against the enemied shire. Troops normally only use the four main paths to reach the enemy.
The player is free to take hidden paths as well as the main street.
Up to 6 players per team are possible (6vs6).
This map features 18 unique heroes, 9 for each shire, with 5 spells each.
Every spell is unique. Nothing else to add.
Everyone who already took a look at this project confirms this fact.
The terrain is very well made and filled with details and breath-taking enviroment effects.
Items and their combinations are of course included.
In addition, we´re planning about three kinds of systems:
The map uses a heavy bunch of imported skins, icons and models. The overall filsize will be around 2MB.
The current progress:
Heroes (the probable hardest part)
IIIIIIIIII~90% finished.
Items (the propable most annoying part)
IIIIIIIIII~90% finished.
Units (includes bases)
IIIIIIIIII~100% finished.
Spells & Systems (linked with heroes)
IIIIIIIIII~80% finished.
Terrain
IIIIIIIIII~70% finished.
Overall triggered work (includes effects for terrains/spells/gameplay)
IIIIIIIIII~80% finished.
Now what´s missing? Some screenshots. I´ll post them later, its pretty late here now
EDIT:

Alchemy System (Int-Heroes)
Every Int-Hero may be able to collect plants and other kinds of materials to create useful potions.
Smithing System (Str-Heroes)
The Smithing System allows Str-Heroes to collect smithing materials to craft weapons and armours.
Accessory System (Agi-Heroes)
Every Agi-Hero may be able to use the Accessory System to create useful accessories.
The systems will be balanced.
