Shift key press/release

Hey guys I've been wondering.. I know that when you press and hold down SHIFT, some actions change in original Warcraft, like Left click which tags the current point on the map, and Right click, which leaves flags your unit will follow.
So, there should be some code for detection of pressing/releasing it, right? And if there is, please post it.

I don't think there is a way.
I know that you can detect Esc and force the player to press the letters, but I don't think anything's possible with Shift.
