Shield Grunts are an advanced version of the Orc Grunts, but they have the savagery and nobility of the Orcs.
The Orc Grunts are vulnerable to ranged weapons from Human attacks, they needed protection to counteract this, and they have now carried their shields for their armament alongside with their battleaxes.
The Shield Grunts are still seen in Alterac Pass map in Heroes of the Storm as melee minions for the Horde side.
Update: Added defend animation.

If he had more of an Orcish shield this would be superb. Nice variation nonetheless.

Hmm. I'd compared to this model as Grunt model pack credited to johnwar already but I need new more units after reinstalled WC3 1.28.

Pretty good, and it's also quite useful. The animation of the axe in stand defend is quite buggy, though, so try to fix that. The portrait can also be reduced in filesize by deleting those vertices that are not seen ingame. Do that and this is approved.

I like it! What I would suggest in move the bracers from the right hand to the left so the shield strap can be scaled to the hand only(looks wied with that big strap)
