Scrapyard Heroes
The co-op survival map
1. Introduction
I actually hoped Ralle will make some kind of Sc2 idea conntest, so I came up with this idea, but then I immproved it a little and decided that its an original idea that can be released without any conntests.
2. Storyline
You and your friend marines were send to guard this space station because of disobeying the commander. Maybe there's no commander in here and you can do whatever you want, the only things there are here are scrap pieces and other junk. Of course, you don't have to be genius to make something from a pipe and few wires, but who could think that when you are building a piramid from empty cans an asteroid with zergs might crush into your station?! Now the only your hope is to find all the pieces of cruiser engines scattered around, collect it and get the hell out of here. Sounds easy, isn't it?
3. Gameplay
As you understood from the Storyline, the very immportant part in this map will be collecting scrap pieces and combining them into something uselful. Like a metal shield from a tank + a pipe from a pile of pipws = Barricade. Newly created items might be used too, like Barricade + Energy battery = Electrified barricade! All of the items will require only two items to combine so you won't have to fill up your inventory with useless junk to defend from constantly uncreasing zergs that try to kill you and destroy the Cruiser, your only ticket to freedom that you must defend at all cost. The map itself is a broken cruiser in a middle with junk walls and few basic items spawners (Actually it will be like a shop, you buy as much of the item as you need and as much as it has, altrough it has a time it takes to restore it's stock. Items for advanced combinations will be more far away from the Cruiser and will have a longer time to restock.), so it will be not complcated to defend. There are lots of station's parts connected together with asteroids like in melee "Scrap Station" map. There will be lots of junk such as broken vehicles or containers and you'll even be able to get on some of these and use the tactical advantage of the position. Thrust me, I know how to make any piece of scrap look great, you won't be disappoint by the overall look. Oh, and forgot to mention, those cruiser parts are located near to zerg spawn points and you'll have defeat a boss so you won't be able to defend all the time if you want to get out of here and will have to prepare for the boss. At the end when all parts will be ready, zerg will unleash the final wave and you'll have to make sure there will be no zergs on the evacuation zone. When it will be over, you'll be safe...
So... any questions? Something concerns you? Don't be affraid to ask!
