This is a part of an ongoing effort to explore the possible style of a faithful Warcraft 3 remaster. Instead of keeping everything on my hard drive "until it's done", I decided to share with the community in the process.
This is a Classic HD version of scorched (or burnt) village buildings. They all use one imported texture - VillageDoodad1.blp - that is also used for Decay animations in Classic HD buildings.
I will add more buildings to this pack when they are ready: barn, granary, tower, and windmill.
I'll take that as a compliment! I mainly use AI upscales of classic textures as a base but then I rearrange and repaint everything. Some things I sculpt myself. So it's mostly baked and/or handpainted.
Here's how it started for the Townhall, for example:
Good work man! You could make more variations, the more the better. Well, we need more scorched models as they always add ,,post-fight" style and effect to the map.
