For a resource I'm not sure since there arent any SC2 icons or resources of any kind other than some maps, for an attachment to a post, why not..
Just a tip: if a command icon, make it white with level of transparency, if a colorful, add alpha to it, so that the button borders embrace it ingame.

Well, like with any resource the actual artwork needs to be at least 75% your own free-hand work.
If its a blizzard made icon thats just been copy/pasted onto the sc2 border, I would imagine it would get rejected for this reason :/
Granted they would be useful though

Well the starcraft 2 icons have to have an alpha on them to have the border and some people might struggle with it...? I dunno, maybe would it be acceptable for people to request a starcraft 2 icon conversion?
