i tried using the same building type; altar but is owned by different players, after testing the hero slain, it cant be revive...or do i really need to use another type building?

EDIT: i tried & tested using another building type, ticking the 'revive dead heroes' and even using the dependency on value of hero...it's still not working nor showing up as revivable

What could be the problem? (i check other forums and its entirely different from what im experiencing)

Do you mean you want to use a custom building as a new altar for reviving heroes?
Yes, sorry for not clarifying it...
Though im already using a custom building for that...it works on the copy pasted hero at first but after switching ownership on editor for testing, it no longer be able to revive (same unit type paladin and building town hall) which i was confused i didn't use any trigger except for the testing of limit revive (since its a specific unit type i doubt that would be the cause)

In top bar menu select Advanced -> Gameplay Constants. Check the 'Use custom gameplay constants' checkbox, scroll down to 'Techtree - Dependency Equivalents - Altar' and add your custom altar there.
That should allow the building to revive heroes.
oh, i haven't thought of that, i thought hero would suffice
okay, will try it.

EDIT: nope, that didn't work

I tried to simulate it using custom altar + custom set of heroes, even limited training of each hero to 1 per player via trigger action.
First as player 1 red, then I changed all units to player 2 blue as well as changed the player slot to player 2 and tried again.
I was unable to replicate the issue you are describing.

Maybe you have some other interfering trigger? Try to setup altar + dummy hero in a fresh map and check if the issue persists.

what i did is delete the custom hero and remade it again, its now working...i was baffled in the first place why it will not register as revivable
and no, there was no other triggers that prevents heroes from reviving, atleast not once.

what a weird encounter, anyway thanks Nichilus
