RunicBerserker.blp

Troy McClure moment: you may remember me for such skins always with "Runic" in their name, or maybe not, not that i care, really. Anyway i decided to make an entire race of these pale-skinned and red-haired people, aiming to realize a SkinPack (when I have finished), which will contain all the Runic skins.

These are the four skins i did for now that are already available on the hive:

Runic Berserker: the main meelee infantry unit. (The Lesser FelGuard has lowered color values, set them back to 255 to display all the colors of the custom skin properly).
Runic Warrioress: the "agility" hero.
Runic Maid: a cheap, swift and stealth unit.
Runic Witch: the "intellect" hero.

What i plan to do next (i am open to suggestion):
A war beast: i thought the kodo rider but i really prefer a heavy armored Mammoth.
A war engine: based on the Infernal Engine.
The "strength" hero: this is hard, i don't like the paladin model but i thought the Tauren Chieftain could fit a sort of monster-creature allied with the runic race.
Runic Colossus: based on the mountain giant or the battle golem, but i prefer the first.
And a couple more maybe, still not sure which unit though.

---
My skins are a public resource but, please, credit me if you use them in your custom maps/campaigns/models/projects of all sort. Thank you.

This is a pretty neat set so far. I love the attention to detail in all of these skin.

A couple ideas for the future additions: Personally, I think an edit of the kodo beast would be cooler than a mammoth. You could turn the kodo into a wooly rhino, which would achieve pretty much the same effect as a mammoth.
Tauren chieftain would probably be the best fit when it comes to strength heroes. Perhaps as a warrior wearing the skin of a slain beast?

Hm, maybe... Though the TC is so big and obviously cow-like, I'd be surprised/impressed to see it modded to something else sufficiently.

If you're looking for STR heroes, Wc3 is full of them... Alchemist, Pit Lord, and Beastmaster are all good. Especially Beastmaster; he seems the most "runic/barbaric/vicious" of the lot.

If i am gonna use a paladin for the strgt hero i prefer the classic "Uther model", you know, it's better for a viking look, the beard etc.
I try to stick on units as human-looking as possible, although i really would like to see a Runic Minotaur, as I said before, he can be a sort of ancient-unique creature, avatar, demigod etc. that fights for the Runic race.

The Beastmaster is a great idea too.

For the workers, i dunno, maybe a paesant reskinned to a more nordic appereance (paesant, peons and naga murloc slaves are the only models with the gold sack and the pickaxes, so only the peasants will fit very good, even if they have a dumb face lol)
