I don't know how many of you have seen the special effects pack for my Revival of the High Elves project. Anyway, since this forum is quite empty, it could really use some showoff.

Each effect comes with an ingame screenshot and a short low-quality movie to show the animation too.

3dsmax 5 with Blizzard Art Tools.

Is there any way for me to get 3dsmax 4 or 5? Where can i buy it?

there is 7, but it's shit with new source code that art tools doesnt support...

Yeah thats the problem. Unless you purchased 5 back when it was the latest and greatest, its nearly impossible to find now. I've had the same problem with Blitzkrieg Exporter for Halo and only supporting 5. Thankfully you can use GMAX as an alternative for that but the Art Tools only work for Max. Aside though, excellent work. Really like the new colours that deviate from the standard spells. It's nice to see some green!

As for 3ds max, I think it would be easier to rewrite Art Tools code than search for ver. 5. =0

I quite agree with that....someone really should recode for gmax, that would be a lot more useful as Gmax doesn't keep changing versions and it's free.

Myself as well, oh well, by the time that project ever happens, we'll have a warcraft 4 on our hands or gmax will be in version 10 XD and Gmax doesn't go up versions anymore XD

maybe, but still... i hate gmax because it is so much limited (when compared to 3dsmax).

Meh, I don't find Gmax that much more limited them 3DSmax, it gets the job done for me anyway...
