I need an infantry and a spear unit, and, if possible have 3 skins of them, one a leather armour, one a chainmail and one a lorica segmenta, segmented plate armor.
the infantry looking something like this... http://www.24hourmuseum.org.uk/content/images/2004_1656.JPG http://www.historylink102.com/rome-pic/roman-soldier-1.jpg, but do not try and shine them up that much, they need to have a dull worn look to them.
The spearmen looking something like this...

if you have time, do 3 skins of each, one with leather armour, just browned, like a bandit in melee games, another with chain armour, and another with heavy full metal armour, like these http://www.historylink102.com/rome-pic/roman-soldier-1.jpg
and with the chain armour ones looking like this http://www.wc3sear.ch/index.php?p=Skins&ID=1443&sid=b6de98706ba58ded8615588ce456adb7
Make the shields wide, and curved around the body slightly if possible, like a traditional scutum. As well as having a small boss and design on the center.
Do not be too worried about the details, as they will probably not under too much scrutiny, as the map I am planning with will be a very action packed map, with constant fighting, and chances are people would be too busy keeping thier men alive to be criticising every inch of them.
Thanks anyone who tries to take up this project, as I am doing a campaigns of Julius Caesar series of maps.
