67chrome: I only know of one person who has ever had their first skin approved. Welcome to the club of everybody else XD.
This skin is rather dark, though a few touch-ups to increase the amount of highlights and overall variation between light and black could help it out. There is no texture on the beard and the wooden butt of the rifle, they are totally flat-and could use some texture and 3-Dimentionality. The shading on the black barrel of the gun doesn't look quite right. Doing black and white textures is pretty hard, as there is a much smaller area to work with in how they are shaded to look correctly in game, and I think you may need to develop some more skills before you can make the barrel of the gun look correctly. Looking at reference images is a great help when doing complected things, for situations like this google image search is your friend. Other than that this skin needs a greater quantity of it made from scratch by you, it had less than the 75% freehand work that I need to see to approve it

67chrome: The armor needs to have a wider tonal range, right now if it was converted to a grayscale image most of the armor would be the same shade of gray. You need to get it to the point that if you convert your image to a grayscale image it will look shaded and round, with the chest lighter than the sides, the center of the legs lighter than the sides of the legs, etc. The update is nicer than the original, but this skin needs to be seriously re-worked to get approved, not just updated as a minor bug fix. Once it gets to that point I won't reject it. But right now you have a lot to work on, and visiting the texture/skinning tutorials could help you with doing textures such as hair and wood. If you want to update it in minor phases I would suggest starting a thread for this skin in the 2D art section of the Forums, were you can upload pictures of your skin and ask for help on how to improve it

67chrome: An admirable improvement from it's previous state, but it still needs a lot of work. The braids on the beard are a nice touch, but the beard is rather blurry and undefined. The rest of the skin is rather messy as well. I'd recomend working on this skin much more, and practicing on whatever program you are using to create this skin much more as well
