Revelation

I woke up last sunday and I had a riff on my mind. I did my best to recreate it and it turned out to be pretty nice (imo).
Now to make sure that it doesn't suck I would like you to rate it.

I call it View attachment Revelation.zip since it seemed to come from a dream.

ummm.....hurt my ears a little bit . Needs some work and the notes sounded real similar to eachother. Good effort though.

I thought it was great. I doubt you have had too long to memorize and practie it so I will give you some pity. This is pretty sweet.

Well after playin for about 6 months I have found out that good riffs doesn't have to be extremely complex. Though you earn a little more respect for the one who plays if it sounds like skills.

Good effort, but it sounds like a bit too overdriven. Almost sounds like a wacky Jazz bass line. Play it a bit faster without as much distortion, maybe change the notes a bit to suit more of a rock/blues style. Also, if you aren't already, play it with the bottom pickup selection, or even the top pickup, just to give it a more defined style.

I'm workin on a little update inbetween everything else I do. I'm somewhat changing the structure and moving some notes to a thinner string. Right now it's very low on the E string (the one on top), I've considered changing it to the top of A string (the one below). It would give a simalar sound but then it will be within the area where you can find the coolest notes.

Here's my opinion. The phrasings in the riff need to be more clear. I think it would be better if you tried to make things connect better, or more fluid in motion. Like instead of accenting each note, make it as legato as you can. I'm not a guitar player but I am a music major and that's what I would try to do musically with it, sorry if it didn't really help.. good terms seem to be slipping my mind right now lol. It could just be that you need to practice a little more on it and that's fine, no one is going to say that it sucks, because it doesn't. I like it, just practice some more on it.

Like I posted before, I only played for about six months and I know that I need to practice on the fluid.
Oh and someone did say it sucked. Check the poll results, someone voted Shity. But I belive that's how it is in the beginning.

Eh whoever voted shitty obviously has never played an instrument, or they did and sucked and cried about it later. Don't let one asshole ruin anything. It has potential.
