Removing Team Color

Alright.iam using the programm 'The Gimp' And iam editing a skin.it has Team Color and i want to remove it without removing the structure or shadows.how do i do?

You have to mess around with the alpha channel, just make it all white where you want to change the TC.. I think.

I found with my skins all i had to do was paint over it
