If you do not like GUI, you can use the C like scripting language.
On map initialization.
Go through each player
For each player, if you find they are not playing
Go though all units they own
For each unit they own, remove the unit.
I didnt never use scripting language, because they are so confused. Wc3 editor i use this.

If (((Player 1 (Red) slot status) Equal to Has left the game) or ((Player 1 (Red) slot status) Equal to Is unused)) then do (Unit Group - Pick every unit in (Units in (Playable map area) owned by Player 1 (Red)) and do (Unit - Kill (Picked unit))) else do (Do nothing)
