Recovering a deleted map

I unistalled warcraft, and then reinstalled it and got into map making again. I had a map and it was awesome but i can't find it.

Is there any way to recover the lost map i had?

Check it on your recycle bin.

1. Search for map name using the OS file search program.
2. If this was recent, you may be able to restore the map via shadow copy (W7 only).
3. Check where you normally made maps. If you did not delete the folder it should still be there with all the maps in it.

If the data has been deleted, no restores for it available and you have no backups then it is gone for good.

Your asking the wrong set of people for that. The group of people who would probably know that would be either the moderators or the administrators, but as far as I know, no.

Well, any one of them would work, but number one should be the top notch program.

Ofcourse its gone from pastebin. If you read its usage pollicy it says stuff will get deleted within a certain period of disuse.

Rather give it to someone trustworthy than leave it there.

WE can try to fix map uploaded on this site, we can try to fix protected or even damaged map, but we can't bring back map deleted from your HD
There is small chance that map left stored on your HD somewhere, but if you deleted it permanently (for example using "Shift"+"Del") you should start working on new one.

Small advice:
Save all important data on USB drives, online sites or even your phone once per week or after each big progress

Another one:
Always save important things in 2 different folders (different HD partition is the best choice), this can help in next situations:
-HD crush (still some data can be saved)
-System crush (in most cases you will lost everything on partition contain OS)
-Some programs require time to save data (WE is epic example), there is small chance that PC can turn off or something happen to it, your file get permanently damaged

If you have windows I think you can recover whatever files from what you did in the past by choosing a persific date by other means you can set your computer to a previous time but i'm not sure if it recovers all your files. idk I havnt done it myself before hope this helps.
