its easy , open your object editor, select doodad .... you have near the end different colour with value , change them and look the results .. ( sry for my english ..if you dont understand , contact me ! )

This belongs in the model forums more than texture forums.

Anyways, to edit fire and other similar effects you usually need War3 Model Editor. Most spell-like effects are unshaded and unaffected by vertex coloring, but by editing the model itself you can usually make flames any color you want. Or lightning. Or spell effects in general. Check out the modeling tutorials on this site, especially the ones regarding effects.
