reasons for desync at the start of the game?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't getting a player's slot status sometimes cause desyncs? Other than that and GetLocalPlayer(), I don't really know of any other causes except for maybe, by quoting TheHelper in a Google search "It seems like the 16th tile in UMSWE editor is always corrupted," and "Large dice rolls with attacks can cause splits."

any chance that the programs i use to protect my map are causing desyncs?

i use Widgetizer, then Wc3SLKOpt, then vexorian, then spazzler
