Realistic humanoid hair

Hi all . I am working with Photoshop about 3 days and I am making some tutorials to learn Photoshop . Here is sample of my attempts to make a human hair .

What do you think about this ?

Do u think it is a little bit blury ? Maby I used smudge tool too much ?

Too much blur,smudge and dodge and in some areas incorrectly placed try to predict were to use the tools precisely.

Looks nice so far, what's the resolution of the image? And I believe there's a site with a few good tutorials on it (forget what it's called)

Yes U can recolor it in different colors

I am not good in recoloring atm as I said I learn Photoshop atm . Here is my attempt t o recolor these hair . U can make it in many many different ways and u can get many different results .

Recoloring is pretty simple, just do this:

Image | Adjustments | Hue/Saturation

Or just click:

CTRL + U

Then you can easily modify the colors.
