Reading Data Editor with triggers

Can someone point me to a good tutorial that explains to to read values from the data editor.
If i would want to know what the hotkey is, or to get unit description. Or find out how long would it take to build a unit. How can i pick that up with trigger editor?

Use catalogs, though they are rather complex.

Don't think there are tutorials on it, though.

The string used to retrieve data is the rawdata value name of the field (probably case sensitive).
For list data its "name[index].link" where name is the field value and index is the item number you want read.

This is probably due to the way data is managed.
