Ranged or Melee heroes?

Which hero do u prefer, ranged or melee? Is there a reason?

Is it just your favourite hero, or do they generally have better spells?

My choice would probably be melee, cause I like the warden. I find her Shadow strike and blink abilities allow her perform good in battle. I do prefer melee over ranged but then the ranged heros (refering to Nelf) are good support with their auras.

Euhm. Depends on the situation?

Ranged is mostly good for support and would never go fighting out alone but stay in the back and by protected by the others, while offcourse using spells to harm enemies even more.

Melee just fights along (like the dreadlord) and mostly has an aura to keep him and his men longer alive. Also its good to have a unit with some extra big collision size to capture a hero and kill it! xD (My favourite is first sleep, then surround with ghouls and dreadlord and then kill off the hero)
