This is a quick 20 min job.

I'm trying to create Warcraft's first african american hero. And then the first african american woman. But I'm currently focusing on this first. Keke.

I don't know how to shade gloves lol.

First off, a skin should take time. If you put more time into it the better the end results will be.

Your shading is being done with a good technique, what I would suggest you do to improve that is just to practice, look at other skins to see how others have shaded, really pay attention to how light reflects off of things, and practice some more.

For the gloves try putting on some gloves to see how folds go. Also check other skins to see how those gloves have folds. Keep in mind that the metal outlines will alter the folds.
 
Being monotone has nothing to do with whether it looks 2-d or not, where the shading is placed does. SuPa- is right though, it is very monotone. Try to use different tints of the color you are shading with instead of just lightening it towards white.
