Basically what I want is bosses to say something when they cast a spell, and that works for me. The problem is the volume. I have the sounds at maximum (127) and is played at 100% but still other sounds like spell effect sounds, your heroes talking and normal attack sounds is so much higher that you can easily miss the boss sound.

Anyone knows a way to make triggered sound play higher than the normal in-game sounds?

Thanks for any help on this

Simple. A way to make sounds louder, is to not make them louder at all!
You need to decrease the volume of everything else, which effectively
makes your sounds a lot louder. This is what you want:

  • Volume Channels
    • Events
      • Map initialization
    • Conditions
    • Actions
      • Sound - Set Ambient Sounds to 50.00%
      • Sound - Set Animation and Spell Sounds to 50.00%
      • Sound - Set Combat Sounds to 50.00%
      • Sound - Set Fire Sounds to 50.00%
      • Sound - Set Unit Movement Sounds to 50.00%
      • Sound - Set Unit Response Sounds to 50.00%
      • Sound - Set User Interface Sounds to 50.00%
      • Sound - Set music volume to 50.00%
Of course, this makes your game a little quiter then other people's games,
but the players will just turn their speakers up. And now your sounds are
about twice as loud as all other sounds!

Note: I wouldn't set sounds any lower than 50%. This is because they turn
up their speakers, and when you play a sound, it blasts their speakers, lol.
You can experiment to see what your happy with.
