The results are in and 61.15% of the population of Puerto Rico voted in favor of becoming the 51st state! Both the Republican and Democratic parties have stated that they will honor the results of the referendum.
Do you think that Puerto Rico becoming the 51st state will be a good or bad thing? Given that Puerto Rico predominately leans left-wing and towards the Democratic Party, how do you suppose this will impact federal politics? And how should we handle the problem of Puerto Rico stealing many seats in the House of Representatives from various other states?
As for the poll, who do you think should join America next? I left out the District of Columbia and American territories, since they were obvious choices.
