Guns are a technology, they should be owned and understood. But when in the hell is it a good idea to arm citizens, who have no LOGICAL reason to own an ASSAULT RIFLE. Hand guns are for personal protection, hunting rifles are for hunting, assault rifles are for assaulting and killing people. Let's get logical and limit people. "It's a right to bear arms". This was instantiated in the 18th century when the most advanced firearms were muskets. On that logic, own as many muskets as you want, assault rifles are a stupid thing to market.

I agree with the whole "society changes, guns change. Rights should change too" and all that but...
