Hello,

So ever since my map got rejected (for a good reason), I came up with the idea of a new map; something that i will be working on for a longer time than i took to do TDRW.

The Map Idea- You are a captive soul forever bound to Hell, however if you slay the King Demon* you can get out. But you dont just simply go straight to him; You must defeat his cronies/demons first.

The terrain will be hellish, or rock & lava.*

But before i actually proceed, i want to see your suggestions or ideas as I want to make this map suit what style most of the people here want or are looking for.

Cheers.

* - Tentative

Interesting premise. The gameplay is going to be a single-player rpg, right? One thing I would like to see would be skillshots - just everything is skillshots, and that includes a dodge mechanic of sorts, or a shield. if you could use a missile system to create missiles that use collision detection, then the possibilities are increased (eg, an energy wall that blocks enemy projectiles). You could also have telegraphed attacks so your character can dodge.

The reason why I say skillshots is that most often rpgs are just stand there, attack, cast a spell and wait until the target dies. If dodging and aiming are necessary, combat becomes dynamic and rarely boring.

My two cents. Good luck on the project.

Sounds a bit like Dante's Inferno.
You could split the game in different areas, like the Nine Circles of Hell.
