Popullous and need of AI:er

Popullous is a project of me and Antipathic, based loosely on the idea of Black & White (The game.). As a max 6 players multiplayer map. Starting point is that you're a god, and gods are more stronger the more followers they have. You can dedicate your followers to doing pretty much anything, BUT you can't control them straight. You can declare a war at some village, but you can't order them to attack one specific unit more the less even force them to attacking.

We're currently working on terrain (Terrain base done, more doodads needed, some functionality proplems on how many doodads can be added because we're having spells to effect ground level permanently. Flowers on sea anyone?) And systems needed for the map ("Mixing" weather, like as in Wind + Snow = Blizzard. Terrain-alteration for creating hills/mountains/lakes/whatever.)

We'll also start creating units soon.

However, as we don't have anyone capable of creating a good AI for the followers, they'd need to interactable with the gods, measure what they will do for a god for how much they believe in him and so on, while being capable of standing on their own feet even in neutral villages under influence of no god.)

There are some screenies attached, two of us testing a system and finding a few glitches we're trying to fix at moment, and two of the terrain as it is.

It doesn't look too good because it's missing all enviromental doodads, but because of all the terrain alteration there'll be going on we'll propably need to use some kind of system for creating/killing doodads.

you know Amadi? when i was child, i like to play populous game at playstation, the hero skills are great!, and looks funny when villager fought the enemy.
I like the monk job, bcause he can compete the allies, lol
when the beta release? i loved to play it again ^^
