Well, again, a helpless child(e) I am...
The plan is, to implement code for "real" fire effects (not "effect" as type of JASS but as "cause of fire occuring") - buildings at fire burning down and flames spreading over to nearby mechanical units and alike...
Well, the problem is: How may I stop the game to add "flame"-effects (this time "effect" as type of Jass) to buildings automatically once they suffer certain amounts of damage?
(If I want rain, for example, extinguish fire, I had to repair the given building or mechanical unit in order to realize that... but this would be pretty pointless, if I want the fire to DO damage, would it not?)

Huh? What do you mean?
Try preplacing a building with, say, 25% health, then test the map - the building will be on flames.
That must not happen.

Oh, I really anticipated that kind of answer. ~~
Well then, is there anywhere a model of "nothing"?
Mmh, that question is not in the right place here, is it, so I'll best start looking by myself. (of course, if anyone knows if there is one or there is no one, an answer containing the model's name in hiveworkshop's database or a simple boolean term - "no" - would be nice... and may save me from wasting quite an amount of time)

Oh, wait, sorry, I completely misread your question.

Anyways, you could try replacing all the models for the flames in the MPQ with random models (preferably blank) imported to your map (same path)

And I think there is a blank model floating around in some tutorial for making Doodad Variations over at wc3c.

And when I read your question, I thought you were asking how to find when the unit was at x% health -.-

I already figured that out...
But, well, just "some tutorial" is not exactly helpful as you surely realize. ^^
Ah, what about that: Just creating an empty text file and renaming it?

Ah, now well, that in fact is a very valueable information. ^^
Alright, I will give it both a try and report about it's usefulness.
