I never liked the planet models available here on the hive, so i decided to make my own set. This is supposed to be a generic terrestrial planet, for those of you who need a habitable world which doesn't resemble the earth.
To add a sense of depth, these planets have a modeled shadow effect tied to the head bone. This means you can control the orientation of the shadow by locking the "head" body part facing towards your star/light source, and the planets back will be shaded! If you also script your planets to orbit around the star, you will get a really cool effect. If the planet is static, you can ofcourse just adjust its facing instead.
The cloud texture, which takes up most of the space, is shared with a few other planets.

Well, uhm.., just about any space themed map? Have you ever played Solar Conquest? Metastasis? Space Diplomacy? There is lots, really.

all of your models are pretty good, you did an awesome job!
the only problem seems to be the filesize since 300kb is too much but I guess they can be used in single player maps.
