Phoenix Fire based ability lags up the map

Hello, I have a tower, which can be upgraded twice, and this ability with 3 levels.

The problem is, as soon this ability becomes active, so a unit actually runs near the tower and get "shot" by this custom ability, the game starts slowing down, in a couple of seconds small spikes, then greater, then greater, and the game freezes so bad I can't even exit it without Task Manager.

I know it really sounds like some leaking loops, but there is only one trigger concerning those towers, and that only levels up the ability when they get upgraded. No loop, nothing periodic.

And if I use excessive amount of units, lightnings, special effects, whatnot, the game can take it, of course it gets a little spiky, but returns to normal after the stuff is gone.

I have nothing else on the map, just those few spawning units and few towers with that ability, and it gets massive lag.

I don't know why it happens, and how to fix it, please help. Thank you in advance,

Could you show the trigger or some stats on the ability? The problem might be there.

I don't know if this happens when you have a phoenix fire with 0 sec cooldown or something like that.

You either messed up the triggers or messed up the ability.

Post the triggers and check the ability attack cooldown/duration times.
