well i always use the quick message thing. not the postreply button (more speed) but the only problem is that the emoticons dont work then. i always have posts full of and :s. is it possible to change that?

It works for me you need to have a space before and after each smiley.

what you are doing wrong is should be : P without the space. and there is no :s but there are many others like :shock: = : shock: and :roll: = : roll: and my personal favorite = : wink:
