[General] Orb of Destruction

Hi there,

I've noticed that Orb of Destruction AoE not work as hero ability, but I spotted Quill Spray with similar data. Do you know what is diffrence between them?

Orb of Destruction? you mean Orb of Annihilation right? there's no difference between the two

Please note that both will work as hero ability if you change your hero's Weapon Type to Missile (Splash) and input Area of Effect Targets

Orb of Annihilation anihilation descreption is that it adds splash damage, so I need skill that changes attack type from single target to splash. Spray should do this as well as Orb.

Simply put, you can't change the attack type from single to splash.

What you can do is make the splash nonexistent and then use an ability to modify it. (Orb of corruption)

Or with melee attacks just use cleaving attack. (orb of fire)

Additionally you can just trigger everything that involves missiles, but that might be overkill.

Orb of Destruction is missile ability that explodes on impact and Quill spray is like barrage it make your attack multiply its missile. This is the difference. Orb of Destruction explodes in an impact and quill spray splashes depending on the units in the AOE.

Actually orb of destruction is not a missile. It's an ability that modifies the attack parameters. That's why it doesn't work when attack type isn't missile(splash)

As far as I know there are no abilities that can make both melee and ranged attacks splash.

EDIT: I stand corrected. The actual ability on orb of fire has an area of effect. Seems like it would fit for the OP's problem.

*facepalm* thought you wanted a spell to give AoE attack, but you had asked simply the difference between two spells.

Side Question: What's the difference from quill spray and barrage?
