Open with Editor Problem

To be honest I have no idea what kind of search tags I would need to find a thread about this.

I reinstalled WC3 recently to once again get back into the modding spirit, and I know that you can double click the map file to have world editor open it up right away, but instead it just opens world editor with a new untitled map. Though I don't remember all the tips and tricks to setting up the editor either. The icon is also different. It's white with the scroll and feather instead of the blue scroll that I remember. It should load the map if you double click, but I am confused why this is happening and why the file icon looks the way it does.

This happens to me too. You can just open your map in World editor (CTRL+O).

1. Open WE
2. File --> Open
3. Select your map

I don't know how to edit the map by double clicking but this method is fairly easy plus it is stored in the Recent Files of FILE of the Menu Bar

You might want to see this. By following the tuts you will be able to:
- Change wc3 map files' icon
- Directly open a map with WE by double-clicking the icon
