Old God-Yshaarj

This bundle is marked as pending. It has not been reviewed by a staff member yet.
Hi, everyone. I'm a novice model maker.
And,this is a model that fits the classic style as much as possible.
Everyone is welcome to make suggestions and comments.

Old God-Yshaarj (Model)

YshaarjTentacle (Model)

YshaarjTentacleEye (Model)

This model is quite alright as a boss, but it has a morbidly obese filesize.
Something like this would perfectly fit in a 300-400Kb range, skin included.
You might have ported some animations which were overweighted for Wc3.
Of course it would serve as a basis to improve further.
Don't stop the grind young one !

[EDIT] 900 Kb is much more bearable, but there's some work left do do !

Interesting... A lot of detail, and yet some big things missing (Team-color, moving arms in some of the animations)... You said you're a "novice model maker"? This is pretty advanced in some ways for a novice. Is this possibly a port?
I know him. He is indeed a novice in modeling. He has made many models. But these basically use World of Warcraft textures.

But he did not indicate the source. For example, some textures and animations. I think the source of Animation is the multi headed snake from World of Warcraft. And the multi headed snake has no arms. So its arm movements are quite strange.

Other Old God models also do not have TC (byBlizzard or Explobomb). So this is not important.

有趣的...很多细节,但是缺少了一些大的东西(团队的颜色,一些动画中手臂的移动)...你说你是“模型制作新手”?对于新手来说,这在某些方面是相当高级的。这可能是一个港口吗?
Thanks, but the head texture of this model originated from World of Warcraft and has been modified.

And yes, you are right. I will supplement the source.

is this an animation transfer? coz if its original, i love the shivering animations
but when i saw the model im hearing a sound saying "Long ago in a distant land, I, Aku, the shape shifting master of darkness unleashed an unspeakable evil, but a foolish Samurai warrior wielding a magic sword stepped forth to oppose me" idk why

Kid, you don't have to humble yourself like that with this accomplishment. o.0
I wouldn't call it "novice." This is a masterpiece.

However, I would tell you some things.

Firstly, where the back tentacle is being lifted up from the ground so there is no more geometry, add more there so the tentacle is longer.

Secondly, if you look at the Sanity Check (which is below the word "3D") There are thousands and thousands of unused.

I recommend loktar's MOP 1.2.1. You should copy-and-paste your model so you have two versions: your original for backup, and the new version that has "- Copy" at the end.
Open MOP and select the green button at the furthest upper left corner that reads "select models" and select Yshaarj - Copy. Once that's done, then you press the long green button that reads "Process," and you let it do the job cleaning up all the unused. It will create yet another file adding "_opt" after "- Copy," so your new model, which is optimized, will read "Yshaarj - Copy_opt." It is a .MDL, but to change it simply open it in Magos and rename it ".MDX."

It does sometimes generate new errors, but for what it's worth it's nothing you can't fix. I have tried this method, and I tell you it works.

Here is a list of "Yshaarj Issues" talking about those errors. As stated above, MOP does sometimes generate new errors when eliminating unused, but in this case it's worth the price.

Thank you very much. I'll try to modify it.

In the model apps the animations run with no issue. Ingame, when unit dies, it freezes in place halfway in death animation.
