Oath To The Divine One.

this is my first ever serious wc3 map, i will however make it as fun as i possibly can.

the map type similar to a melee map, but not really.
i cant really find any comparisons, so ill do my best to explain.

for the majority of players you will start with a leader, this leader will be selected at the very beginning of the game and will define your race.
the objective of the game is to; claim a fortress, build your base, build an army and then kill all other players.
you loose when your leader is killed.
players can become allies if they want to, but allegiance with anyone isn't required.
they do either have to choose the divine or titan path though, but we'll get into that later.

and that is where the simplicity ends.

-----IN DEPTH EXPLANATION BELOW-----
there are 3 players that have special attributes, these players are:
-the Divine one
-the Templar
-the Darkspawn

-The Divine One-
this player is a once-strong god but after a won war with the titans, he has been weakened. god has a "faith" resource that will allow him to preform actions to directly or indirectly influence the game.
god cannot generate his own faith however, all faith has to come from non-god players. for players to give god faith they have to build shrines. these shrines grant god some faith every 30 seconds. the more shrines build by players the more the god player will be inclined to help them, to protect his income.

using the faith resource, god can directly influence the game by:
-Casting Miracles (Spells that heal or buff units)
-Casting Curses (Spells that do damage over-time or debuff units)
-Casting Arcane Magic (spells that use the four elements to deal damage)
-Training And Upgrading his champion (god has one champion to directly engage in combat with, and this is his only way)

using the faith resource, god can indirectly influence the game by:
-giving non-god players Buildings
-giving non-god players Powerful Items
-giving non-god players "Divine" units
-giving non-god players Resources
-Blessing Non-Divine units to give them permanent stat increases or abilities.

-The Templar-
faction-locked to the divine path. they have a unique race that specializes in killing titan units. the suffer though the see fighting at a range as cowardly, and have no ranged Infantry.

-The Darkspawn-
Faction-locked to the Titan Path they have a unique race. rather than be at the mercy of a god, these descendants of the titans get their own faith. they go down the titan path and sacrifice units in order to get said faith. using this faith they can train TITAN units. Titian units specialize in killing all but divine units, making them most effective at fighting regular players. they can also build the "tower of titans" for some lesser spells. the advantage is that they are completely independent. the disadvantage is that this path is more expensive. Titan path players should seek to kill god by destroying his essence on earth. forcing him to loose his influence there.

-Other Players-
pick from one of six races. any player can join either path, choosing to be independant with titan units, or to revere god and be rewarded.

i apologize if i screwed up the explanation, im really not great at explaining. but this should at least give you SOME idea of what the map is about. if you have anything you need me to clear up, or any advice on how to make my explanation better please message me or post.

i'll more than likely be checking this once every two days or-so. any and all critique is welcomed.

current status: unplayable. -basic terrain and trigger work done.
