Greetings forum,
I have been working on a map for a while now, which is yet an alpha version. It is inspired by the old game Age of Mythology, where you pick a starting God and upgrade through the choosable ladder of Gods, with special benefits to your personal choice of an army.

Map settings:
Suggested Players: 6 (PvP, less players is possible)
Map Size: 224x224
Melee Map: False, everything is custom, including map.
Altered Melee Map: True
Items: Yes
Creeps: Yes
Above includes bosses and events.
Dungeons: Yes
Storyline: Yes
Leveling Heroes: No. Only default limited units with special stragedy uses.
Races: 1 - Human
Number of Buildable units: 30
Variation/counters of units: Very High
Food limit: 300 (Average food limit: 150)
Number of Buildable structures: 15
Goldmines: 4 custom kinds with variate goldamounts and rarity.

What is special about the map?
You are in the middle of a mythology story of old Gods. Gods which grants different bonuses, such as offensive, defensive or utilities for your empire.
Through out this variety of researches, your units are very different in classifications as well. There is always a counter.
Infantry are very variate, despite they're mostly weak against ranged units. Ranged units are mostly weak to mounted units and mounted units are weak against some infantry and ranged units. There are also myth units, who are strong against all, except certain classes such as the Heroes, who deals extra damage to them.
Despite the wisest choice would be to have a mix of all, your ladder of choosable Gods makes you able to pick one of the 3 gamestiles you want: Offensive, defensive or utility, plus in which classification you wish to do it with.
The map also contains Creeps, who can drop Relics and Scrolls (items) which will provide your troops/buildings/workers/heroes with special benefits - when stored in a Temple.
Oh, and did I mention the adventures of dungeons and bosses and at the end of your God ladder, you can build an enormous Titan to crush your enemies?

An insight of the Mythology:
As the Gods gave life to their very first sons, the Titans, they realized the potentiale of life. Despite the Titans were too huge to fit the Milhaem, the home of the Gods, and seemed to be savages, they created them a new home, the Mortal World. Nezeus, one of the Gods, gave in for the idea of life and created Man. The Titans were not amused by their fathers new creations and used their almighty strength to try and crush man kind. Aritheron, put an end to the war by giving their sons fear. Fear of dying and falling to the Underworld Agrogard. However, his brother Treeton made a deal with the Titans to rise Agrogard to the Mortal world and grant the Titans the power of man kind. Aritheron found out and banished his own brother to Agrogard, leaving him there with Nezues, who was now given the job of the dead.
One day Treeton escaped and cursed the Mortal World. Now Arregal, the Heart of the Sun was given the task to watch over Man, while Crikeez, the son of Aritheron used his power of nature to track Treeton down and make him pay for his savaged mind, who cursed half of man kind. Now, in the lands of war and chaos, you shall rise your empires, gather your allies and pray to the Gods that they are on your side to extinguish Treetons cursed men.

Testing:
As said the map is still an alpha version, so there might be a couple of leaks and bugs. But if you would want to test it, please do and comment what you think and what you have experienced, positive and negative is all welcome!
I would be more than glad to come along!

Well finding 5 players to test your map doesn't seem easy. is there a 1V1 option?

Ofc you can play it 1v1. The idea behind the map is 3 roads to the enemy, through water channels and caves. But you can just skip the other 2 of them. :)
