This melee map's terrain is too dull, and the creeps' drops are bad at red creep camps. I don't like seeing Mercenary Camps heavily guarded. My comment (#2) shows a full review.

Rui's review on Johan 'Atlerik' Samuelsson's "Oasis" melee map

This one I found a little boring.

My critique goes, to start with, for the way you placed the start locations. The Gold Mine and the trees... it all looks mind-numbing... lacking interest.

Following with the terrain. It was too dull. No ground texture variation, next to no elevation, and an overall tedious structure.

The creep choice and their drops were good for the green creep camps, but VERY bad for the red ones. Two Elder Hydras and two hatchings make a red creep camp? And look just what they're guarding... a Mercenary Camp! I can bear a yellow green camp at one of those buildings, but not a red one – Mercenary Camps are useless late game!

Good distribution of resources.

My rating for this map is a 2/5 (Lacking). I vote for the map's rejection
, it doesn't add anything to the existent database.
