  • Scripts can now detect when any unit is damaged
  • Scripts can now detect and modify the damage done before armor
  • Scripts can now detect and modify the attack type, damage type, and weapon type (Note, modifying these only works in the pre-armor event)
Does that mean I can use triggers(GUI) for damage instead of just basic values in object editor for abilities like shockeave, carrion swarm, etc?

Yes and no. In theory yes but it’s not possible to determine what spell the damage source used to inflict the damage if it does not have an associated debuff. Knowing if it was an attack or a spell is a solved problem, but knowing which spell is another thing entirely.

Probably use this: Damage Engine 5.4.2.3
