New Request Section Rule

Look guys, I am getting tired of seeing you constantly flame poor requesters.

I understand that a lot of them ask for too much, or are not requesting correctly, but leave this to the respective moderators to take care of.

So, do not comment in a request thread, unless you have something constructive to add. This of course being:

A. Sure, I'll do it, can you post a few more details?

B. Oh, there is one over here --> Link <--

C. Oh yes, I would really like to have this model too for my map, I would also be grateful for someone creating it.

D. Well this request is quite easy to make yourself, all you have to do is.....

E. (Once the request is finished, or pictures are shown of progress) Wow, it's looking good, but maybe you should change...

Other than this, I do not want to see any more nonconstructive posts and remarks in the request threads. This will be dealt with strictly, so do not push me.

Agreed. Some people come here just to make requests, if they are flamed they will get a bad idea about the site, while in the opposite case they could get a very good idea, and post more often.

Why have these people message their friends aswelll with this: «Hey don't go to the Hive, you'll be flamed if you request something!» instead of a very nice comment about the site, advesiting it, and adding reputation to it?

Yea I agree 100%. Too many people are flaming requesters. Just yesterday a guy requested mortal combat models. Got flamed like crazy. This is a much needed rule

These issues will be heavily enforced by the entire staff. If any users wish to help, report any violations to the moderators.

As for the rules, the official Community Rules & Guidelines havn't been made yet.
Well, they are (most of them). But atm they appear as sticky posts for (almost) each forum.

Alack, the flaming of the n00bs has gotten me into trouble with the admins and Ralle again, so I'm demoted. Time to be a good boy. I don't usually flame request threads, and I completely agree that it's not doing anyone any good by flaming the requesters HOWEVER I believe we should have somem guidelines laid down, so that 100 out of the 126 new posts are not requests. I'm not good enough to take requests, so it's just a lot of filtering through to find posts that interest and/or apply to me. These guidelines, when created, should be as strictly enforced as any others, so instead of going OMFGWTFNOOBCAKES! you can say: see [link] for requesting rules, n00bcakes

I did alot of request on campaigns but people there like to request "Simple" things. not full complex models like a from scratch charicter. so maybe you should post a sticky for "reaquesters read first" on how to acutly be able to get a request done.

Yes, well its the same way with anything. In order to recieve, you need to return. You can't possibly hope to escape punishment if all you do on this forum is make requests... you need to contribute to the community as well, whether through useful/meaningful/nonspammy posts, a tutorial or a resource, or whether you decide to field some requests, you need to reap and sow.

It makes us look bad when people 'cuss and freak out on people for asking for stupid requests yes, but, they should be told its a bit far fetched and ask for something similar. :coolgrunt:
