Moderator's Review:

her whole chest wrap except the bust is a big wrap glitch.. fix it. also, the staff handle should be wrapped better. the orb of the staff should be a billboard plane and the whole orb/claws on the staff should be smaller. her cape and hood are not that good either, i suggest different texture. and lastly, fix the wrap on the gauntlet on the arm that's holding the staff.

It's a interesting first model, but as a submitted model, I would deem the changes to be minimal and thus not worthy of approval. It's not bad, it's just not enough.

It's always nice to see new people who are starting to mod wc3 tho. ;D

i have an issue with that criterion. or with that criterion took this way. i've seen a few models in these situations already.

it is a night elf jaina. it isn't an human jaina with minimal changes. it is absolutely useful since there are no riderless female casters in the NE. if that isn't enough to approve it, why do we have a resource section? to make an art gallery?

the model isn't bad, but there are some wrap faults here and there you might fix (big resolution conflict between cape and bracer, stretched cape, bad end at the hood, overall bad ends without proper edges)

and you could as well make that ball at the staff a bit smaller, right now it looks too bulky. two times the size of the woman's head.

Well, my critique is entirely personal, subjective, from my point of view. My opinions does not sway the views of the judging moderator. I merely stated that I found it to simple.
You may find it useful, I find it to simple. It isn't about creating an art gallery. It's just that the approval of models should approve models with extensive changes imo.

Not because it's an art gallery, but because there's a limited amount of space that of store-able models.
Thus I'd prioritize models that is above the average amount of quality over the models with less amount of work put into it.

To me, this feels like a nightelf reskin of the jaina model.

Don't get me wrong, some models can be so useful that they pass on just that alone. But those are rare exceptions to me. But yeah, again, it's entirely my own opinion.
Let's just agree to disagree, should we? It's up to the moderator to swing the hammer and pass judgment anyhow.

i see what you mean, it is just that i think that taking "amount of differences from the original" as a criterion may result in an insensitive judging. but i agree to disagree, and we might withdraw our discussion from this topic if it's going further, so we won't bother the model author with off-topicness. (already did, i guess.)

It's ridiculous that people would claim this is not approve-able. I've seen plenty of models with significantly less edits and even significantly less usefulness than this that are accepted, sometimes even praised. Is this 5/5 material? Definitely not. But it's certainly good enough for approval. Really, I think the only reason someone would think this unfit for approval would be bias towards newer members. If someone more experienced had submitted this, nobody would be saying anything about it not being worth approval.

Great job on your first model, it certainly can be useful, it looks good, and you've shown potential. This is about 3.5/5 material, and I'll give you the benefit of it being your first model and round up to a 4/5, but in the future I'll be rounding such ratings down to a 3, so if you expect to get another 4 you'll need to kick it up by making more changes.

It would be a good idea to rewrap the head using Shandris's texture, as it is those shadows on her face (that are supposed to come from the helm) look weird,as there is no helm to cast them.
Also there is a :
weird wrapping problem with the right side of her chest;
there is a hole visible due to a missing upper part of the right shoulder;
wrapping problem with the left hand;
free vertices near the head;
dark greenish faces near the head that should have been deleted;
the left arm's fore arm and biceps vertices are not connected properly;
the wrap of her back is horrible;
there are a few free vertices in the shoulder pad geoset;
you should merge the staff and the shoulder geoset;
you should merge the staff spikes geoset and the main body geoset;
there are some free vertices in the staff spikes geoset;
You can make the sphere thing without using so many faces just make a plane set it to fit the orb texture, add a bone to the plane and make it billboarded;
If you use MdlVis these changes won't be so hard to make.
