Hello, I want to know how to make spells requirments on items.
I want to make passive spell "strenght" which will let you buy new better swords like if you have it on level 2 you can buy some iron sword but if its on level 10 you can buy some magical sword. I know you can make this through upgrades but I want it to be hero ability ... its necessary for my map.

if you can't reset your abilities (using tome of retaining or having a repick feature in your map for instance) then make an upgrade that is the real requirement. Level up this upgrade (which you otherwise won't ever see ingame) each time your hero increases his strength ability.

As far as I know upgrades can't have their levels lowered once increases so if you require this then your only alternative is to use units as requirements instead of levels, one "dummy"* unit for each level there is.

Each time you level up the strength ability, create a unit and each time the level decreases remove the last one or if complete reset /repick remove all of the dummy units for the player.

Note that hiding & unhiding already existing unit might work too, but I'm not too clear about this.
