Need Spellbook help again >.<

i want to ask how to make a skill in a spellbook make its effect work even if the spellbook is closed for example devotion aura in a spellbook the aura should work even if the spellbook is closed


if there is a way please tell me >.<

Passive spells should normally work in the spellbook even if it's closed. They should even work even if the spellbook ability is disabled for that player.

ok maybe its clear now but how about the active skills one? its shortcuts wont work

Passive skills will work, even though the spellbook is closed. Although active ones won't work.

That doesn't work indeed, it's like trying to build without the build-page open.
The only think you can do is let the spellbook have clever hotkeys as well, so you can easily use e.g. S + E for a spell.

Since most people do that when building structures, it should work for spellbooks as well - as long as the hotkeys are chosen wisely (and work, obviously).

ok thanks now another question how can i make a shorcut for a spell?

In the ability section of the object editor:

Text - Hotkey - Normal
Text - Hotkey - Learn

Those two values are preferrably the same.
The first one is for casting the spell, the second when you want to learn it (hero only).
