[Spell] need info on the wait trigger

i've been doing some basic map triggers, and my friends says i shouldn't put wait triggers in them. especially if its more for multiplayers over lan or battle.net. if i cant, then is there a better way to replace the wait trigger? i know this isnt the first time a person asked, so if there is a lnik to somewhere like a tutorial that be good.
the search if kinda flooded if i type in "wait"

wait trigger doesn't wait when game is paused..
and when you cast a triggered spell with wait in it.. with two units, the second unit who cast after the first unit will replace the first unit..
ex:
1. you cast shockwave with first unit
you cast shockwave with second unit
everything is fine, it's called MUI

2. you cast shockwave with first unit it's fine as usual
you cast shockwave with second unit then BANG!
the first unit's shockwave will either keep moving or stop moving
but the second unit's shockwave is fine as usual.. it's called non-MUI (i don't know the name either xD)

how to solve this:
1. use timer
2. use periodic timer / loop
