Need idea to skill system

Man im working about singleplayer RPG (CRPG) so i need creative new skill system. Help plz.

Maybe something like heroes have only 1 passive ability,and you "buy" them abilities from shop?Which are used 1 once and then disappear? You could also make something like a "recipe" system which would combine them and create lvl 2 and lvl 3 spells.
