Need help with patching

Hi there! Today i got Warcraft 3. Specifially version 1.21b and when i try to patch it to 1.26a i just get error. Does anyone know what to do?

What error? You try to patch via battle-net?

I tried to use the patches i downloaded from battle-net.

So you entered wc3 --> battle-net, downloaded patch successfully and then when does the error occur?

Also, I've asked what error in detail comes up? And have you tried to google your problem? Usually you are not alone with errors.

It says an error has occurred preparing the patch. This problem can commonly be solved by reinstalling the game and tryin to patch again. But i already reinstalled and still this problem occur.
Edit: No need to answer anymore, because problem has been solved

I already got it fixed and before i tried this version switcher and it doesnt work so dont use it since its just a waste of time.
