Need Help with an ability for my map! Thanks!

Hi Guys,

I am busy working on a new map.... but I can't figure out how to create an ability that boosts the speed of the hero if clicked.... I've tried for hours..... Any help would be great thanks! Ps. Its a Misc survival Mod for Warcraft3.

Gameplay constants : Maximum Move Speed -> 522.
Use Channel ability.
Code a trigger that add move speed to the trigger unit

About the ability that increases movement speed . as Malhorne said :

  • Unit - A Unit starts the effect of an ability
• Conditions :
  • (Ability Being Cast) Equal to Movement Speed Increasing
• Actions :
  • Set Caster = (Triggering Unit)
  • Unit - Set Movement Speed of Caster to 522

  • Unit - A unit stops casting an ability
• Conditions :
  • (Ability Being Cast) Equal to Movement Speed Increasing
• Actions :
  • Set Caster = (Triggering Unit)

Does it last for some time (i.e. it's a buff with duration) or do you search for a toggleable ability (like defend or immolate - you turn it on and off)?

Use Berserk if you don't like triggering.

Thanks Guys!!!! I figured it out (well sort of ) and based my ability on the Berserk ability, removed all buffs/effects except for speed and changed the speed value to 120
