I've been trying to publish a map recently and I keep getting an error message saying "Variant Definitions Could Not be Validated". I've made a custom game type, is that whats causing this? Thank you for your help!

Those things are a nightmare. I hope this is one area blizzard plans to improve because I don't even bother messing with it anymore. I just make the game FFA and set alliances via triggers.

^ usually what most people do.
The variants can be tricky if you haven't really learned anything about them.
If you know what you're doing, they are rather easy to use and quite helpful.
Though I must admit almost everything that can be done in variants is also do-able in triggers (aside from category, mode, teams etc, that are used in the lobby).

Edit: To fix the problem, delete your vatiant(s) and save the map, then try publishing after that. Should clear up.
