Need good Storyline for my campaign...

Hello all, I am starting on a new project that will be more realistic for me to handle making for the time being... Only problem is I need a well put-together Storyline for My Campaign called, Gateways - Portals of Darkness... I want to kinda piece together a Stargate meets Warcraft era type deal but not as fancy and stuff... Want to start out with a discovery of a series of ancient archways that once activated by whatever means (spell incantations, Activation by unit within range, etc...).. I want this to captivate the player's attention and want to continue playing or take interest in the storyline atleast. Each archway portal will lead to different places/terrains... Kinda like the dark portal of warcraft lore which goes to and from outlands...

Actually your rather just based it on warcraft since warcraft portals link everywhere. You can go to many different planets and realms in warcraft portals. A new race is just waiting to be discovered around every bend.

You should just make your own lore. I mean, are you seriously going to wait for someone to make you a storyline? It would be more good if you made your own.

And another thing, campaigns are hard work and require a lot of dedication. Unless you are 100% sure of what you are doing and how you are going to do it, you won't find the motivation to finish it. I'd suggest you try and work out a plot for yourself and think about how you can apply it to warcraft. It's much more fun that way and you'll enjoy doing it a lot more than something that was thought up by someone else.
