Need bigger Inventory

I'm making a little RPG but my first problem are the Items, cause they're too much. So I chnaged some items into tomes, but there so many items as before. Now I've heard about using Dummys or Objects to make a bigger Inventory or increase it with bags (like in WOW). Does anybody know s.t. about this ?
