not the ice junks, the legs...everything...that is the model as in, the dog.
I mean.. your fingers and arms dont float around on us, they are actually joined, thats what you have to do with the body parts or it would be hell to animate and most likly give off poor results.
Yes, you need to have everything welded, otherwise the anim will be jerky. My anims are soooo unreal, I even practiced like nuts and still I cent get them to work...
Jerky animations have nothing to do with welding or not.
You assign vertices to bones. Even if the vertices are unwelded, they still exist on precisely the same spot, so when assigning, you'll select them all anyway.
Welding has absolutely nothing to do with animations whatsoever. It's about keeping the geometry solid.
