Need advice for buying new shirts and avoiding shrinkage

Whenever I go shopping to buy new clothes (in this case, shirts), I usually buy Medium because it fits me perfectly. But after I wash them in the dryer and washer, they SHRINK and I can't wear them any more. What can I do to NOT GET MY SHIRTS TO SHRINK?

In case someone asks, I am a Male.

In that case, there's this amazing t-shirt that is just perfect for the summer/holiday spirit!

Print for men =

Is that a joke?

Vengeancekael, your grandma called, she wants her drapes back.

Seriously though, I'm not a big fan of that style of muscle shirt. I'm somewhat anti-fashion; or at least trendy fashion. I'd go with a high neck-line and slightly longer sleeves.

On topic: I'd just get a size up. I'm far too lazy to do anything other than wash on warm and dry normal.
